The journey to being Safe Space – Nyana Sabharwal

Safe Space emerged from my personal healing journey where I released deep trauma wounds.

I spent much of my life with chronic emotional pain, dissociation, self-sabotage, and a deep sense that I had lost control of my life. I felt like there was something wrong with me, and that I was too broken to be fixed.

In 2016, I left my marriage, desperate to finally figure out the root of my emotional pain. I was fed up with feeling afraid and inauthentic – I wanted to understand why I felt this way.

In the years after my marriage ended, I found out that I was dealing with CPTSD from chronic trauma – a realisation that was my first step to healing my deep trauma wiring.

My journey eventually led me to get my masters in Psychology and Neuroscience in 2016, and to train in Compassionate Inquiry, Internal Family Systems and Trauma. I also got my Suicide First Response training and spent many years educating people about suicide prevention and post-vention.

At the same time, I was actively pursuing my own healing. Medication alone didn’t work, and neither did therapy. It was only after I added meditation to calm the mind, yoga to heal trauma in the body, and chakra work to release blocked trauma energy – that I finally started to find myself again.

My journey of healing forced me to address deep trauma wounds of abuse and loss. And the holistic approach helped me to see that we all live with unconscious patterning, conditioning, and limiting beliefs. In doing the healing I came closer to understanding my behaviors, and choices and my own involvement in creating my suffering. I started to take responsibility and accountability for my responses through the healing.

In liberating myself from fear, I now had choice, safety, and clarity. I was free to live my life with compassion, trust, openness, and presence. I was living more connected to my true self. I was gaining mastery over my thoughts, emotions, beliefs, behaviors and action.

In 2019, I founded Safe Space. When you embark on a healing journey at Safe Space, you are being supported to curate your healing journey to self mastery, using all of the techniques and modalities that made me feel whole again.

I created Safe Space for anyone who wishes to release unresolved trauma from the mind, body, and soul. Join our compassionate community if you are ready to discover a life beyond trauma
